Greenville offers growing families the convenience of
top public and private school systems on all levels, from
kindergarten to college. With a student to teacher ratio
of 12:1, Greenville is one of the top places for children’s
education in North Carolina. Greenville also provides nine
different private schools ranging from Christian Academies
to Montessori Schools averaging a 4:1 student to teacher
ratio.
Recreation
Greenville provides a large amount of recreational facilities
for all ages. The town offers everything from aquatics & fitness
centers, soccer, baseball and tennis complexes, garden
parks, and golf courses to over twenty parks perfect for

East Carolina University
Greenville is home to East Carolina University – the
fastest growing university in North Carolina. The university
offers more than 100 bachelor’s degrees in a variety
of colleges including Arts & Sciences, Allied Health
Sciences, Business, and Nursing. ECU’s Graduate School
currently offers seventy-four masters degree programs and
38 certificate programs. In addition, they offer sixteen
doctoral programs (Ph.D, Ed.D) and hold the distinction
of being classified as a Doctoral/Research Intensive
University.
